Some take issue with soy because it contains phytoestrogens (naturally-occurring estrogen-like compounds). Soy is the major protein source in animal feed. Other protein alternatives either also contain phytoestrogens (other legumes) or they have negative ecological impacts and off-putting flavors (fish meal). Phytoestrogens are not an issue unless you are directly consuming high levels (think, drinking soy milk daily.) Eating chicken that has eaten soy will not have any effect on your estrogen levels.
