Our Bistro Blend is our original blend and our all time best seller! This colorful, textured, whole grain wild rice blend contains brown rice, red rice, red wheat berry, and wild rice. It’s perfect for salads, side dishes, and soups! There’s a reason it remains a customer favorite. Cook time is approximately 40 min. The whole grains in this blend expand a lot, so be sure to use plenty of water. 4 to 5 cups of liquid to 1 part blend is recommended. Cook this blend as you would cook pasta, and don’t cook the water out. When it’s done cooking, drain and serve! Brown rice, red rice, red wheat berry, wild rice.

Our Mexicali Wild is a brown rice and wild rice blend with dehydrated veggies and 14 herbs and spices. This is a full meal deal and our personal favorite blend. It’s full of flavor (just enough enough heat to liven your taste buds) and it’s easy to make! Use 5 parts water to 1 part Mexicali. No Lid. Bring water to boil, add blend, rolling boil for 40-45 min. While the Mexicali is cooking, just brown hamburger with a taco sauce (cook hamburger and rice blend separately). When the blend is done, drain and add to the hamburger. No need to make corn—it’s already included in the blend! Ta da! A quick, healthy, whole grain meal. GLUTEN FREE

It was my job removing the seeds from the cacao pod ensuring that I got to eat the pulp - yum. My aunt did most of the rest - drying the seeds for about a week outdoors, roasting and grinding them with a mortar & pestle, then forming them into small balls which she later grated and boiled in water with spices and sweetened with condensed milk.
